Winter in the Sexten Dolomites

In winter, you benefit from the proximity to the 3 Zinnen Dolomites ski area. The valley stations of Monte Elmo and Croda Rossa are easy to reach.

Skiers can look forward to a varied network of slopes with easy runs for relaxed skiing as well as challenging black slopes.

Cross-country skiers will find perfectly groomed trails in Sexten / Sesto and especially in the Val Fiscalina (Fischleintal Valley) for both classic and skating styles – surrounded by an impressive winter landscape. The trail runs directly past the Mooserhof, allowing easy access.

Tobogganing on one of the many runs around Sexten / Sesto – for example at Croda Rossa – offers speed and fun away from the ski slopes.

Winter hikes and snowshoe tours through the Val Fiscalina (Fischleintal Valley) or the Innerfeldtal Valley / Val Campo di Dentro lead through quiet forests and wide snow-covered landscapes – an impressive nature experience away from the crowds.

A summer between alpine meadows and Dolomite peaks

During the warmer months, Sexten / Sesto reveals itself as a diverse hiking and mountain destination. The Val Fiscalina (Fischleintal Valley), the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and the Carnic High Route are among the region’s most impressive excursion destinations.

From easy walks to panoramic high-altitude trails and climbing tours, there is something for every level. The Monte Elmo cable car comfortably takes you to higher altitudes if you wish.

Mountain bikers will also find varied routes around Sexten / Sesto – from challenging climbs to scenic tours towards the Innerfeldtal Valley / Val Campo di Dentro or Innichen / San Candido with connection to the Puster Valley cycle path. Our guests have access to a lockable bike storage room, charging facilities for e-bikes and a bike washing area.

Besides nature and outdoor activities, the surrounding area also offers cultural variety. Innichen / San Candido invites visitors to stroll through its small shops and visit the famous collegiate church, while the town of Bruneck / Brunico combines historic architecture with shopping opportunities.
